Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

PokerAC (www.pokerac.com) is a poker study platform. Players use it to build and drill ranges, spots and flashcards, keep notes on hands and sessions, and track their progress. It also includes management tools used by clubs and event organisers. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to PokerAC.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: your email address and a display name if you set one. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and stored only as a hash — we never see your password.
• Study content you create: ranges, spots, flashcards, hand histories you paste or upload, notes on videos, journal entries, bankroll records, notes on live sessions and players, and the training statistics generated as you practise.
• Forum activity: the threads and replies you post.
• Club and event data: if you run a club or take part in an event managed through PokerAC, the organiser records information such as player names, seating and results.
• Log data: standard server logs from our hosting provider, including IP address, browser type and pages visited.

PokerAC does not take payments and has no checkout, so we never collect or process card or billing details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service — storing your study material and showing you your own progress.
• To send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.
• To understand aggregate usage of the site so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

4. What Is Private and What Is Not

The study content in your account is private to you. Your ranges, spots, flashcards, hand histories, video notes, journal entries, bankroll records, live-session notes and training progress are visible only to you when you are signed in. Signed-out visitors cannot reach any of it, and other members cannot see it either.

Some material on PokerAC is shared on purpose, and it is worth being clear about which:

• Our own study material. The default ranges, spots, flashcards and videos that come with PokerAC are shared with everyone who is signed in. This is our content, not other members' private work.
• The free preview pages. A small number of example items are published so anyone can see them without an account. We choose those items ourselves, from our own material — your content is never published this way.
• The forum. Threads and replies you post are visible to other signed-in members.
• Club and event pages. See the next section.

5. Club and Event Information

PokerAC hosts public pages for clubs that choose to list themselves. When a club uses these tools, some information about its events can be seen by anyone, including people without an account: the club's own listing and contact details, its scheduled games and tournaments, blind structures and prize breakdowns, and results and seating showing the player name the club recorded for each entry.

If you play in an event run through PokerAC, the name the club records for you may therefore appear on that club's public page. Contact phone numbers, the club's internal notes on players, and its waiting lists are not public.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL and Supabase Auth). Images and other uploaded files are stored in Cloudflare R2. The site is hosted on Vercel. Traffic is served over HTTPS.

Access is controlled in the database itself through row-level security rules, so a request can only return the records the signed-in account is entitled to, rather than relying on the app alone to hide them. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but we treat access control as something the database enforces, not something the interface merely hides.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

PokerAC uses session cookies that are required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

For aggregate usage statistics we use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not build a profile of individual visitors. Your browser also stores small preferences locally — such as the game type you last selected or which tab you had open. Those stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

8. Embedded Videos

Study videos are embedded from YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive rather than hosted by us. When you play one, your browser connects to that provider directly, and the provider can receive your IP address and device information under its own privacy policy. If you do not open a video, no such connection is made.

9. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account yourself from Settings. This removes your sign-in account and the personal study data described in section 4 — your ranges, spots, flashcards, videos and video notes, journal, bankroll records, live-session notes, forum posts and training progress — along with the files you uploaded. It happens straight away rather than being queued for later.

There are two situations where the app will stop and ask you to sort something out first:

• You own a club. A club holds records that belong to the club and to the people who played there, so the club has to be handed over or closed before the account can go.
• Your account holds study material shared with all members. Deleting it would remove that material for everyone, so we ask you to contact us and we move the material first.

A small amount of club record-keeping is kept rather than deleted — for example, the record that a cash game session took place — but it is no longer linked to your account.

Deleting your account does not erase copies held in backups we keep for recovery. Those copies are not used to restore individual accounts, and the data in them is superseded as backups are replaced. In the rare case where our file storage is unreachable at the exact moment you delete your account, an uploaded file may survive the process; email us and we will remove it.

10. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data is removed at that point, subject to the backup copies described above. If you stop using PokerAC without deleting your account, your data stays until you delete it or ask us to.

11. Your Rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. Deletion is also available to you directly in Settings, as described in section 9.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform.
